Anushka’s Arundathi was started with a production cost of 4 crores and by the end of its making the budget crossed 13 crores. As this is a historical subject with all special sets and the maintenance of these sets the budget rose to a greater level than expected. Arundathi is all set to hit theaters on the 9th of January in which Anushka is doing her first dual role. Sonu Sood is playing an important role.

Kodi Ramakrishna is directing this movie on Mallemala Entertainments (Shyam Prasad Reddy). Music by Koti.

Kottha Bangaru Lokam controversy Dil Raju’s production Kotha Bangarulokam which completed 50 days recently got into controversy. It seems that one of the songs was shot in a Buddha Temple near Visakhapatnam without the permission of the authorities. They have now realized that this is an issue and sent a notice to Dil Raju saying that they shot the movie without their permission and did some obscene dances in the temple premises.

Prabhas will be seen as Parasuramudu soon in the direction of K Raghavendra Rao. Raghavendra Rao who is a specialist in making movies like Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu (though he failed in Pandurangadhu) is going to make this movie. It is heard that Raghavendra Rao decided to cast in Prabhas when he saw Prabhas on the logo for Viswamitra Creations logo (Rajamouli’s production banner)

Ram Charan who is currently busy with his second movie in the direction of Rajamouli will start another movie after this. His third movie will be in the direction of Bommarillu Bhaskar on his home production (Anjana Productions). It is heard that Hero Srikanth will play an important role in this movie. As said by Ram Charan in Surya s/o Krishnan audio (Gallery) Harris Jayraj will compose the music for this next movie.

Uday Kiran who has not seen success for a while is supposed to come in a different role in the form for Adi Sankaracharya. But now the producer of the film Rami Reddy got into Income Tax issues and may not be able to continue with the production of the movie. It is really a bad news for Uday Kiran who is having a hard time even to get offers. Bad luck Uday.

Anushka’s dual role and heroine oriented movie Arundhati is getting ready for Sankranthi. The producer who made movie like Ammoru and Anji, Shyam Prasad Reddy is producing this graphically rich movie. The budget for this is more than 15 crores. Anushka is playing the title role and for the first time is playing a role that is not completely glamour oriented. This movie may hit theaters on the 9th of January next year.

Allari Naresh who is the new Rajendra Prasad of telugu cinema has come up with unique and funny titles in the recent times like Blade Babji, Siddu from Srikakulam etc. His new movie title is Dr Rambabu RPM and is funny as usual. This is a movie that will be produced by Dr D Ramanaidu on Suresh Productions and this movie will start its shooting in early 2009.

Mental Krishna which is being directed and acted by Posani Krishna got into censor trouble as expected. This is another controversial movie by Posani Krishna who made Operation Duryodhana in the past. It is heard that this movie went to the revising committee and will have some scenes censored. Looking at the movie still you would understand that this movie is definitely up for controversy.
