Happy Birthday to S.P.Balasubramanyam

S.P.Balasubramanyam, fondly called as SPB was born on 4th June, 1946, in Konetammapeta, Near Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, in an orthodox Brahmin family. He has two brothers and five sisters. His father S.P.Sambamurthy was a renowned exponent of Hari Katha. His sister S.P.Sailaja is also a familiar singer. SPB has completed his B.Tech degree from JNTU college of Engineering. He is a veteran singer and has been associated with Indian film Industry for the past three decades.SPB has sung 39,000 Songs in five major Indian languages in his career span. He virtually ruled the all South Indian languages music Industry for over two decades. He has shown his artistic excellence as a music composer, actor, and dubbing artiste as well.

His mentor S.P.Kodandapani, a music director has given him a chance in his picture “Sri Sri Maryada Ramanna”in 1967. Kodandapani identified him after hearing his melodious voice in a music competition organized by the Andhra Cultural Association (Andhra club).

He has learned to play musical instruments like flute and harmonium. His name was featured in Guinness Book of World Records for singing a number of songs within a short period. Apart from the songs, he chanted several slokas in Sanskrit and he sung for several private devotional albums and among them “Sivastuthi” is very famous. As a music director he composed song numbers in Tollywood on his credit.

As an Artiste he made his debut in the film “Pellante Noorella Panta”, in 1969 and thereafter he was offered many character roles from Tollywood and Kollywood aswell. He lent his dubbed voice for the Artistes, Kamala Hassan, Mohan, Raghuvaran, Nagesh, Karthik and many others.

He was honoured with National awards and AP State Government Nandi awards for many years.

Happy Birthday to Priyamani (Priyamani Photos)

Malayali Kutti, Priyamani was born on 4th June, 1984 in Palakkad, Kerala. She was brought up in Bangalore.Vasudeva Mani Iyer and Latha Mani Iyer are her parents. Her film carrer started in kollywood with the picture “Kangalal Khaiduchey” in the direction of Ace director Bharathi Raja. Afterwards she was paired up with Dhanush in Balu Mahendra’s film “Adhu Oru Kanakala”. The both films were flop at Box-office. She made her debut in Tollywood with the picture “Pellaina Kothalo” with Hero Jagapathi Babu in the lead. She got National award as Best Actress for the year 2006 for her character “Muthazhagu” in the film “Paruthiveeran”. She has modeled for Kancheepuram Silks, Erode Silks and Lakshmi silks. At present she is doing lead roles in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. We wish her a happy birthday.

Hero Venu Thottempudi was born on 4th June. He has completed his B.E. from Dharwad Engineering College. He has made his debut in Tollywood with the film “Swayamvaram”. Hero-ine Laya was paired up with him in this picture. Before this picture Ace director Bharathi Raja started a picture with him and was stalled after brief shooting due to some problems. His next flick “Chirunavvutho” in the direction of G.Ramprasad was proved hit at Box-office. After that he was flooded with many offers. His upcoming movie Gopi Gopika Godavari in the direction of Vamsi is all set to hit screens on June 25th 2009.
