oneNaveen fails to impress in action scenes

Vadde Naveen, no doubt, is a promising hero. However, he did not have notable hits to his credit but for a couple of films. However, he is trying his best to get an adequate break. This time, he got an opportunity to prove his calibre in a film which had several elements including sentiment, action, love and romantic drama. Krishna Teja made his debut with the movie while Nalla Charan Reddy produced it. Though the film has nothing novel, the director tries to prove how the hero emerged winner in a fight with the land mafia.

Parthasarathi @ Parthu (Naveen) had a penchant to become a police officer to fulfil his father's aspirations. His mother (Sangeeta) brings him up and she is quite friendly with him. Parthu writes his civils exam and awaits results. At this juncture, he meets Sandhya (Arthi Khaitan) accidentally and they soon fall in love with each other. Kallu Dasu (Dandapani) is a big land mafia leader. He always occupies vacant lands and used to eliminate who come in his way, whether it is a police officer or a man who doesn't want to lose the land. Kallu Dasu has the support of both the higher police officials like DGP (Jeeva) and also political support in the form of a minister (Chalapati Rao). Dasu's son once teases Parthu and gets severely thrashed by him. After the thrashing Parthu gets the orders for police training and he becomes an ACP on completion of his training. Irked over Parthu bashing his son, Dasu gets him posted in his area, to take on him at an opportune time. Taking this as an advantage, Parthu makes efforts to put a check on the illegal activities on Dasu. Now Dasu realises that he was in deep trouble with Parthu, asks the minister and the DGP to get rid of him. Once Parthu encounters two of the goons belonging to Dasu and the DGP suspends him saying that he killed innocents, despite knowing that Parthu did a right job. After suspension, he was given 15 days time to prove his innocence. Now Parthu decides to prove himself as a responsible citizen as every citizen is a cop without uniform. In the process, Parthu kills Dasu's son. Dasu decides to eliminate him but Parthu foils all his attempts and finally kills Dasu and the film ends on a happy note with the union of Parthu and Sandhya.

PERFORMANCE:

Vadde Naveen tried to give the best of his performance as hero. He is just okay in regular scenes but he still need to be more flexible in dances. As far as action scenes, he miserably failed in every angle. Neither the action scenes were stylish nor the hero could show any energy in them. Playing a police officer's role, he should be little more energetic and he failed to fit the bill in the role. The debutant heroine Arthi Khaitan though had good physique and had the looks of Archana (Veda) in some angles, she had not much role to play in the movie but for shaking legs with the hero in few songs. She could not show proper emotions in the available opportunity and proved a bad choice opposite the hero. Dandapani, Chalapati Rao and others are at their usual best. Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao played the villain's sidekick.

oneTECHNICAL:

Though the director prepared a good storyline with commercial elements with a touch of sentiment, love and romance, the movement of the film was haphazard. The debutant director chose an age-old subject but the poor screenplay turned out to be a bottleneck for the smooth running of the film. Camera work by RK Sanapathi is also not very impressive. Especially, the cameraman could not capture the action scenes or the songs in a perfect angle to grab the attention of the audiences. Even the choreography of songs are quite old-fashioned. Music by Sri Vasant is also unimpressive. Some of the tunes resembled some old songs of Pawan Kalyan and the like. Dialogues by Tinathbabu are good in parts.

ANALYSIS:

The immaturity of the director is clearly visible on the screen. Neither he could pen a gripping screenplay to make the film quite interesting nor he could run the film on a steady pace. The hero's choice in selecting an action film to earn a mass hero image boomeranged and once again the film could not give the adequate break which Naveen is expecting.
