ganeshFeats to attract the children may bring families to theatres

Most of the upcoming heroes are getting tightened in a particular image and could not get out of it. Believing that the audiences are eager to see them in such roles, the producers, directors and the artistes too are resorting to same storylines and are being trapped in particular image as an action hero, lover boy, or college-going youth. However, Ram, who caught the pulse of the audiences in general is trying to select subjects that could be welcomed by one and all. Especially, he chose the path laid by Chiranjeevi and decided to attract the children most and mass audiences in the second place, with younger generation in the last but not the least place. This made his journey a smooth sail, though he faced rough weather like a sea faces ebb and tide.

Ganesh (Ram) is an orphan. However, he is good at heart and is ready to anything if it is right. In order to set right his friend’s love, Ganesh decides to trap a girl called Divya (Kajal Agarwal), the sister-in-law of her fiancé, and get the way cleared for their marriage. In order to put Divya in line, he gathers the support of the children in the apartment by posing as a superman before them. Later, he makes several attempts and finally corners Divya. Though she did not respond initially, accepts his love, but makes him to reveal his love louder in a pizza corner. Then Divya takes Ganesh to a nurse, who helped Divya’s mother in delivery and introduces him as her aunt (Rohini Hattangadi). At her house, Divya and Ganesh exchange rings.

Till that moment, Ganesh wanted to pretend love but after they exchanged rings, starts loving her wholeheartedly. But accidentally Divya comes to know that Ganesh was pretending love from his girl friend, though he loved her really. This makes her to start hating Ganesh. From then onwards, it was Ganesh’s efforts to prove his innocence and love towards Divya. Did Divya realise that Ganesh is loving her truly? What kind of problems Ganesh faced during the course of time to convince Divya? Did Ganesh able to convince his girl friend’s father-in-law and get her married to her lover? Answers to all these questions form part of the climax.

PERFORMANCE:

Ram gave a nice performance all through the film. In fact it was he who filled life in the entire subject. He showed a very good comedy timing and concentrated more on his body language in an inimitable style. He showed the power of youth in action part, while he sizzled in dances perfectly whether it is a mass tune or a melodious number. Definitely, his performance would attract by all classes of audiences. Kajal Agarwal filled the glamour slot. Though she had a very less scope for performance in this film as usual, she made good use of the scenes that are available to perform and did it with ease. Next comes, the child artistes. Really, they did wonders on the screen. Though the dialogues given for them appear to be cinematic, given the current generation and trend, they are no longer filmy. Brahmanandam is another memorable artiste in this film. After a long time, a Tamil director made good use of artiste in him. He gave a nice performance on the lines of ‘Dhee’ and ‘Ready’ once again. Asish Vidyarthi was wasted in the character as the director failed to etch his role properly. Other artistes including Sameer, Rohini Hattangadi, Viswanath Kasi, Sudha and others did justice to their roles.

GaneshTECHNICAL:

Though not all the songs are good to listen, a couple of mass beat songs and another couple of melody tunes are good visually. Camera work by Hari Anumolu is okay. Especially the trick shots with the hot air balloon were picturised well. Editing by Srikara Prasad is below the mark and he should have to sharpen his scissors further. Dialogues by Abburi Ravi are average, but for dialogue before the climax shot on love, which would make audiences to rethink. Choreography of all the songs is okay. Production values of Sravanti Movies are good.

ANALYSIS:

The first half ran quite slowly. The interval bang is just very near to the imagination of the common audiences. The second half was stretched a lot and almost the film started boring at one time. However, the intelligent director kept a song whenever the audiences would feel bored and made them to escape from catching their head. Again the climax is routine and stereotype. No doubt the film is a time-pass movie and at the same time can not be recommended as a must-watch film.
