Kota is a versatile actor like Satayanarayana. He does both comedy and villain roles. His roles in Gayam, Satruvu etc show a unique style of negative character which includes comedy in his cruelty.

As more non-telugu villains became popular these days Kota is doing mostly character roles. He did a good negative character in Ramgopal Varma's Sarkar in hindi.
