Amitabh says No to Doctorate

amitabh_bachan_2Amitabh Bachchan has refused to accept the Doctorate from an Australian university Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Big B has refused this due to the current circumstances (racial attacks on Indians) in Australia. Big B mentioned this in his blog. He also said that he means no disrespect to the Institution but can not accept honors from a country that does such things to the citizens of his own country.

Amitabh is the only second person from India after Narayana Murthy of Infosys to receive this honor from QUT.

Cold War became Re-union

Director Karan Johar’s birth day bash has turned out to be an occasion for a grand re union between Bollywood stars Aiswarya Rai Bachan and Kareena Kapoor. The two celebrities giggled and danced together, ending the long-standing cold war between the Bacchan and Kapoor families.

Aiswarya Rai Bachan is all set to dazzle the audiences with her dance moves at the 10th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards night in the Venetian-Macau Resort, China on the night of 13th June. IIFA has said this in a statement released to the Press. The legend and father-in-law of Aiswarya Rai, Amitabh Bhachan is the brand ambassador to this event. This IIFA ceremony will be for three days from 11th June to 13th June. More than 500 luminaries are expecting to participate in this even from the Indian Film Industry. The organizers of the IIFA said that they have choosen Macau resort as their decade celebrations because they hoped it would end the deadlock between India and China over the exchange of Cinema.

“We feel it’s (Macau) the Las Vegas of the East. In this 10th year of IIFA’s existence we wanted either the US or China to be our venue,” said Sabbas Joseph, one of the directors of Wizcraft, the organisers of the event.
“We chose China because we feel it could be a gateway for Indian cinema to the West. We also hASope to end the deadlock between India and China over the exchange of cinema. We haven’t come away from one venue without opening up doors for the India film industry. We are confident this would be the case in China,” he added.
